Apple i. Pad 2 Wireless Wifi Antenna Replacement Repair Guide. If you are not familiar with the ipads wifi antanna, the location of the wifi antenna, removing the i. Pad 2 digitizer without tearing this antenna can happen very easily. The i. Pads wireless antenna is attached to the backside of the touch screen digitizer by adhesive tape. Located on the right side between the i. Pads “Home” button and right corner as if you are holding the i. Pad in front of you. For future repairs, knowing the location, applying enough heat, prying up slowly to get a peak under the digitizer in this area, and being very careful in this area is the key to removing digitizer without ripping the wifi antenna out. If you ripped ANY part of this wifi antenna while removing the ipads digizer, it is advised to replace it as your i. Pads wifi will not work properly. Signal strength might be weak or not work at all. This guide below is how to replace the wifi antenna with the glass digitizer already removed. The i. Pad 2 model, has a particular area to be careful with when removing the digitizer, the area near the upper right corner, near the volume, mute buttons. The power ribbon cable is one cable that handles powering i. It is as if you were doing work, a new browser game by impish developer Pippin Barr, simulates puttering around inside Windows 95, clicking dialog boxes and mashing. Android App Cracking Tutorial by AleX. Avete acquistato un’applicazione sul Market ufficiale Google Play e la volete installare su più terminali, usando account. The English version offers selected articles from. Pad on, off, sleep, volume, mute functions. One very small section of this ribbon cable is exposed between the frame and digitizer, if you rip this very small fragile cable your i. Pad will not power on. On the i. Pad 3, and i. Pad 4 Apple protected this power cable area with a small protective plate covering & protecting the “power” ribbon cable. Replacing this power cable is one pain in the butt! VERY small screws, parts and ribbon cable to handle. Removing the i. Pads digitizer without cracking or scratching it is an almost impossible job also. All the i. Pads I received have cracked digitizers, so damaging the digitizer any further on removing is not a concern. The wifi antenna’s between the i. Pad models are different antenna’s, but the location is the same on the ipad 2, 3 and 4. Even partially ripping this antenna will damage the antenna. If you slide your “spudger” tool through this area between the digitizer, frame and wifi location, you will rip the wifi antenna for sure! Virtual Private Network (VPN) – Private Internet Access Follow @Augusta. Pc. Repair. Problem is, for most attempting to repair there cracked digitizer themselves and not realizing you ripped the wifi antenna or cellular data antenna near top. Then sealing new digitizer in place and your i. Pad does not turn on (ripped on off power cable?) or your wifi does not work. How good, or what use is the i. Pad without wifi, internet connection? It has no network cable jack for internet connection. Have learned to test these functions BEFORE sealing the digitizer down. Removing the new digitizer off i. Pad in one piece again will be very difficult IF you sealed it down. You’ll be in for another new digitizer again. The i. Pad 2 wifi cable component is very cheap, you can find on ebay for $3- $7 USA depending on the i. Pad model. So at that low cost it is a good idea to order one if you intend on repairing your front panel touch screen digitizer. Best yet keep a few extra around especially if you are doing these type repairs for customers. The frame backing on the i. Pad’s with Cellular Data Antenna’s is black plastic or hard rubber directly behind the antenna’s. The Cellular Data Antenna’s (model specific) are located between the front facing camera. One cellular data antenna on the left, and one on the right of the front camera. Both these Cellular Data Antenna’s are also glued by strong adhesive tape to the backside of the i. Pads digitizer. These antenna’s are wider and the same color as the strong adhesive tape on the digitizer. Hard to tell sometimes if you are freeing the tape off the digitizer OR ripping out the Cellular Data Antenna antenna’s! Model i. Pads with Cellular Data Antenna’s, this area is more difficult to get thru without damaging then the wifi antenna area. To much heat begins to soften the black rubber backing on the frame, will warp or melt it out of shape. If you know what you are doing, and what the cellular data antenna’s look like and how to get by this area it is not that difficult. But for a first timer attempting to remove the i. Pads digitizer you can rip these cellular data antenna’s out easily. First i. Pad with cellular antenna’s I ripped out and had to replace the cell antenna’s, have done 3. Pads since, never ripped one out again. Trouble is once you get by, free up digitizer on one antenna,,, you have a second one to free up, get by on other side of camera. Mom & Pops Vapor Shop – 1. First off, this is a guide and by no means does Lightspeeds Computer Repair take any responsibility in the dis- assembly or repair of your i. Pad by this guide & photos, and you damaging the i. Pad. For it is a very delicate, meticulous repair. Dis- assemble & repair at your own risk. Make sure your i. Pad is completely POWERED OFF. Not in standbye, not in “sleep” mode, POWERED OFF completely BEFORE removing digitizer and disconnecting ANY cables or connections inside of the i. Pad. Disconnecting, or re- connecting the lcd screen cable when i. Pad is not fully powered off, can blowout the back- light filter which is a circuit on the logic board. Producing a permanent dark, dim lcd screen. You’ll need a very, very small phillips screw driver to remove 4 very, very and extremely small screws from the i. Pads wifi antenna. These screws are extremely small. The normal precision type screw driver set will not do. Removing this cable is easy, but one end of the wifi cable runs under the i. Pad 2’s logic board, as you will see in photos below. I thought the i. Pad 2 logic board was going to have to be removed, but there is a much easier way without having to remove the logic board. Photos above show the damaged, ripped i. Pads wireless antenna cable. Photo above right, shows the backside of the i. Pads glass touch panel, where the wifi cable is attached to backside. The wifi antenna sits just to the right of the ipad home button on i. Pads models 2, 3, and the i. Pad 4. On removing the i. Pads glass digitizer, the wifi cable ripped separating into 2 pieces, one on the i. Pad frame, the other on glass touch screen bezel area. ANY tears or partial rips in ANY area of this antenna, you’ll need to replace it if you want your wifi working. It is important to test your wifi and digitizer functions BEFORE sealing the digitizer down in place. Above left photo, I already removed 4 very, VERY small screws securing this end of the cable to the i. Pads base frame. You will see the other end of this wifi wireless cable running to, and under the i. Pads logic board. Remove these 4 very small antenna screws, do not lose these screws. Photo to the right > > > > > > Shows the i. Pads wifi wireless cable running under the i. Pad logic board. You’ll see blacktape, carefully peel this up & off. Partially peeled up in this photo. Photos Below,,,Peel the black tape off, the 2 cables you see in these photos you do not have to remove. The silver part you see in photos below is just a cover, you can carefully, CAREFULLY pop the silver cover up and off. You can actually pull up carefully on that black tape area of this cover with your fingers,, carefully. Be careful you do not damage circuits under this lid while removing! Removing this lid will then expose the backside of the wireless wifi board. Silver cover popped off, and removed. Photo on left, this is the backside off the i. Pad 2 wireless, wifi board. The ipads 2 wifi board connects into a socket straight down, on the logic board. There is a small notch in the upper corner, the board connector is on this end. With a small tool, carefully, VERY CAREFULLY pop it slowly upwards, straight up. DO NOT stick pry tool in very deep, just enough to grab the small IC board from the farthest end from home button area to disconnect & pop upwards. Actually best to use corner of a credit card rather than a precision screw driver or metal. It will popup out of it’s socket, straight up. Maybe e. Bay used. And Apple does not sell them to anyone. Photo on right. You can see the socket in this photo, it is straight down. To re- connect it, line it up and push straight down. And here is the other end of the wireless cable. Cable runs under the small silver trim, which you can see and remove the cable easily. Cable is plugged into the small socket on board as you see. Pull the cable straight up & off to disconnect it from board. Next photo below,i. Pad 2 wifi cable nowdis- connected from board. The antenna cable runs under a wider black power connector cable leading to the logic board area. Hold this cable down with your finger and carefully pull the antenna cable out from under it. If you have not already, remove the 4 screw holding i. Pads antenna to the frame. DO NOT lose these tiny screws. Your now ready to install the new i. Pad 2 wireless wifi cable. From here it very easy, just do all in reverse. Run or route the new i. Pad 2 wireless wifi cable under the silver trim (last photo)Connect wifi cable to first connector on board, opposite of logic board connector. Same connector as the old antenna. Make sure connector is in straight and firmly clicks into antenna cable socket for a solid connection. After installing wifi cable into socket, line wifi board up with socket on logic board, and carefully push it straight down until you hear a light “click”. You might not hear a “click”. Then press the entire wifi board down so it is evenly seated. Line the silver cover back up, and carefully push and snap silver cover back down. Line up the mounting holes in the i. Pads base area, install the 4 screws back into wifi cable bracket & the i. Pads frame. These screws are important for they ground the antenna to i. Pads base frame for better reception. Www.weg.net Three-Phase Induction Motors - Master Line 3 Master Line The motors of the Master line (M line) stand out for the flexibility of their electrical and.
I did not include directions on how to fabricate one specific motor because it assumes too much engineering knowledge to tell someone to follow my lead, at least in my opinion. In a future Instructable, I might go over the specifics of building Raz. Er's motor. But, in the interest of modularity, I elected to keep things separate this time. Maybe you guys can take up my slack by talking about how you made your hub motor! What I can do now, though, is put in a few fabrication notes for when you embark on your hub motor adventure. Maximize ALL of N, R, L, i, and B. But wait, I thought earlier you said as few turns as possible was the best? Not necessarily: I said that just enough turns to get a workable Km contributes to lower motor resistance. There is no need to constrain yourself to low turn numbers. In fact, high turn numbers running at high voltages are almost always better than low turns and high current! Cheap hardware store 5 minute epoxy has inadequate time to set, and the chemical crosslinks are not nearly as strong. Thin laminating epoxy (for fiberglass and carbon fiber layup) is recommended, with a microsphere filler. The filler shortens the working time of the epoxy, but causes it to be stronger and more tenacious. To avoid this, cut up some popsicle sticks into wedge shapes and push them into the gap to separate the magnets. Print this out at full scale on a piece of paper and perform your magnet gluing over it. Try not to let them float as you're gluing. Do this AFTER you make sure your motor works and winding is correct. The metal edges will pierce the magnet wire's thin enamel coating and result in a phase short to the core. You are bound to make more than one, so the phaes will short to eachother! If you create a short, you MUST rewind that phase. Loose windings are more likely to be damaged, and they are longer than they need to be, so your motor has extra resistance. You have wire running past high speed rotating surfaces which will abrade the insulation if allowed to rub. Silicone high strand count (HSC) wire, including the popular . Deans, are the best choice. On Razer's motor, I made the mistake of using stainless steel screws because they were cheap and already at the hardware store (instead of ordering high quality socket head cap screws). Bad mistake - they sheared and stripped one by one, leaving the motor wrecked. A Note on Motor Control. BLDC motors can either be sensored or sensorless. Sensored motors have Hall Effect sensors which react to magnetic fields. There are at least three of them inside your average sensored motor, and they function as a very crude position encoder. A sensored motor controller reads the state of these sensors and correlates them to the position of the motor through a lookup table. It then outputs the proper voltage levels to the motor according to this state table. This is called Space Vector Modulation. Yours Truly has build a fully hardware (logic chips, op amps, no microcontrollers) SVM motor commutator for a class project. And it actually worked. Sensorless motors are operated by controllers which sense back- EMF. Remember from the page about DC motors and their ability to be used as generators? Every time the brushless motor moves, it puts out a sinusoidal (or trapezoidal) waveform on its 3 connections. A smart controller can actually read these voltages and have an idea of which direction the motor is traveling. It can then sequence its output to ? One has 3 more parts and the other doesn't? Well yes, and.. If the motor is not moving, the controller has no way of know where it is. There do exist controllers which can sense motor position based on the effect of the motor's magnets on the phase inductance. However, those are ungodly expensive and are a new industrial technology (which makes them even more expensive. These tend to be more expensive than their sensorless brethren. Hall sensor placement is a quasi- nontrivial process that requires knowledge of the motor's electrical slot ratio. Two popular Hall Sensor placements exist: 6. I glean over this on my website, but the degrees refers to how many electrical degrees apart the sensors are. To place Hall sensors properly in your motor, you have to know how many electrical degrees each slot (or tooth) occupies. For a LRK motor, this is 7. Likewise, t, the stator slot count, is 1. For a LRK motor, the electrical degree of one slot is 2. Now that you know the . Let's call this the . I have just wedged it between the Aa winding of the first phase. You must place the B sensor in a slot that is . This may or may not actually end up in the middle of a slot, and it is an iterative process. Each slot is 2. 10 electrical degrees, so start adding. Begin at 0 degrees, the position of sensor A. Keep track of the number of times you add, wrapping around 3. That is: 1) 0 + 2. No need to modulo 3. The number of additions is 1. Subtract 3. 60. The result is 6. The number of additions is 2. No need to modulo 3. The number of additions is 3. Subtract 3. 60. The result is 1. The number of additions is 4. You win. Thus, sensor B should be 4 slots away from sensor A, and sensor C a further 4 slots away. Conveniently enough, in a LRK motor, a 1. Isn't that awesome? And EVs in general. They allow you to take full advantage of the massive torque capabilties of BLDC motors by using them at 0 speed! Conclusion. DIY electric vehicles are fun and exciting, as well as a treasure trove of learning opportunities. Engineering your own motor is no small feat, especially one destined to be operated in a vehicle of your own design. Here's hoping that future regulations over the nascent electric vehicle industry and laws over their operation grant amnesty to, or even encourage, DIY mechanics, hobbyists, and experimenters. The virtually rendered motor seen in the opening page is a motor for my next crazy EV project: Deathblades. I'm aiming to do what alot of people have been peer pressuring me to do, and drop Raz. Er's technology into some foot trolleys of certain head trauma. See my Youtube page for a snazzy animation of how the hub motor goes together. If you've been confused by my thousand- word explanation, this should help clear it up! If you've never seen Raz. Er in action, check out its test video here. I'll be updating, editing, and changing things around as I go, so if you see any glaring omissions or errors, absolutely point them out to me! And good luck. It’s increasingly difficult to do anything on your phone nowadays without sharing your geolocation information. It’s increasingly difficult to do anything on your phone nowadays without sharing your geolocation information. Certain Snapchat filters, Facebook status updates. An auto-dimming mirror may not sound like the most exciting car part, but call it by another name—electrochromic mirror—and you begin to suspect that there’s. Need for Speed Carbon delivers the next generation of adrenaline-filled street racing as players face the ultimate test of driving skill on treacherous canyon roads. Certain Snapchat filters, Facebook status updates, Instagrams, and even text messages are all potentially tied to geolocation data. It’s relatively simple for app developers to build in geolocation functionality—and many services require users to opt- in to sharing location data. But now the state of Illinois wants ensure that all companies extracting geolocation data from individuals must provide an opt- in, or else they’ll have to pay up. Last week, both houses of the Illinois state legislature passed the Geolocation Privacy Protection Act (HB3. Now, it’s on the desk of Governor Bruce Rauner, waiting to be signed into law. If signed, companies would be required to inform users of how they’re using the location data they collect, if the users decides to share it. Companies who don’t adhere would be in violation of the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act and would face criminal penalties and damages of at least $1,0. There are a few exceptions to the law. For instance, private entities can collect geolocation data without consent if the information will help parents find missing children or aid firefighters, police, or medical professionals. The new law might not have a huge real- world impact, given that most devices and apps already ask people for permission before they start using location data. But this might encourage more tech companies and app developers to give users the option to opt out of being tracked. There have been plenty of times in the past when companies have faced repercussions for tracking users without their consent. For instance, Apple and Uber have been sued for allegedly tracking un- notified users. Ari Scharg, director of the Digital Privacy Alliance (DPA), told Gizmodo that the organization has done reports on the apps Selfie. Rate Selfie Pic Hot Or Not, which give developers precise GPS coordinates whenever a person uploads a photo.“When a person is just browsing through the photos to rate them, if they were intercepting the backend traffic, they would be able to get the GPS coordinates of each person they viewed,” Scharg said. The state’s Biometric Information Privacy Act prohibits tech companies from using biometric identifiers—like face scans and fingerprints—without consent. Their Right To Know Act—which passed in May, but was put on hold—requires companies such as Facebook, Amazon, and Google to disclose what data has been collected from consumers and shared with third parties. Hagfish Slime Is Wonderful. Sadly, a flatbed truck dumping 7,5. Oregon will not be the weirdest story of 2. It will not evenbeclose. Still, the situation warrants some kind of scientific explanation, since it’s not every day that the mucus of a living fossil destroys a Prius. WKRG reports that yesterday, local authorities in Lincoln County, Oregon were alerted of an overturned truck on Highway 1. The flatbed had ostensibly spilled slimy hagfish over the road, severely damaging one unlucky Prius. No one was injured physically, at least. The psychological damage can’t be quantified. In what was surely the most thrilling day in the history of the Oregon Department of. Despite their nicknames—“slime eel” and “snot snake”—these creatures are neither eels nor snakes.“. Also, if there’s slime, it’s a hagfish.”According to Thaler, the Pacific Northwest has a pretty active hagfish fishery. This particular shipment of hagfish was bound for South Korea, where they are considered a delicacy. The obvious question here is, what’s up with all that mucous? Do hagfish hate modern highway infrastructure or harbor some sort of vendetta against Priuses? Apparently, the hagfish uses slime for self- defense against predators or alternatively, for hunting prey.“The slime provides protection and helps isolate food,” Thaler explained. When they feed on a carcass, the slime pours out, covering the carcass and preventing other scavengers from encroaching on their food.”Though it looks gross, hagfish slime is actually something of a wonder material. Because it’s made of protein and sugar molecules known as mucin, hagfish mucous doesn’t dries out and harden over time—it stays all gooey. But that doesn’t mean the mucous is weak, in fact, quite the opposite. Hagfish mucous also contains thread- like proteins that are incredibly tough, so much so that researchers are trying to figure out how they can use the slime to stop bleeding in accident victims, or make sustainable fabrics for clothes. Even the U. S. Navy is interested in engineering it for defensive materials against missiles. The humble hagfish produces a sticky slime to defend itself from predators, as well as to hunt for.
